TWO'S A RIOT

Two’s A Riot is a song-writing duo from the UK, consisting of Alex Stagg (lead singer & guitar) and Vincent Ott (producer & keys), who have recently released their first set of songs. Both have had years of musical experience, with Alex beginning his singing career as a chorister of Salisbury Cathedral in his early school days, and Vincent, who moved to the UK from Germany in 2014, recently working with Tom Odell on his latest album ‘Black Friday’. They went on to complete degrees in music and finally met each other working for Gatehouse Music, a film music company in Salisbury, where they worked on projects such as ‘Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?’ (Warner Brothers) and ‘Spirit Riding Free’ (DreamWorks).

 

Their passion for film music shines through in their sound, combining cinematic sound-design and word painting with pop arrangements to create a style that has storytelling at its very heart. They aim to take their listeners on a journey through cinematic worlds in a self-reflective and accessible way. Their inward-focused lyrics are carefully written to explore the many ups and downs of what it means to be a 20-something year old in this day and age, dealing with one’s emotional reaction to the outside world…something many people can relate to.
